Been here a few times now...so it's time for a review! I love the ease of making a reservation with Trenasse because they use Opentable. I have been here as a couple and in a group as large as 8 people. Every time I have come, I've had a great experience. The service is always exceptional. On my most recent visit, our server was super helpful when it came to helping our friends from out of town make the best choice for a meal and she also gave us advice on places to check out in the area. On my last visit, I went with the fish of the day, which was the puppy drum. It was blackened and tasted so good. I loved the potatoes and arugula that came as the sides. The meal was delicious. My significant other got the steak and I tried that as well and it was cooked to perfection. Trenasse is a great spot with a quiet and classy atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

Trenasse is in the Intercontinental hotel and also has a door from the outside. I ate here for lunch despite coming back the same night for a dinner party. It was Taco Tuesday and I was given complimentary chips & salsa. The chips were homemade and served warm. Very good! I ordered the 2 for $18 special which was your choice of soup with 1/2 a sandwich. I was looking forward to the blue crab bisque but it was disappointing. Very thin/watery and there was no crab! Only the taste of it, but I'm used to crab pieces in the soup. I chose the buffalo shrimp po boy for my 1/2 sandwich and that was perfect. Huge shrimp! Very tasty. My server Marvin was very attentive. Despite not liking the soup it was a good lunch.

I found Trenasse on my second day in New Orleans and I am so glad I did. Fortunately, I was able to walk in with no reservation and no wait but I could imagine it being busy where a resy would be needed. The server, Lexi, was pleasant and helpful when asked about menu items. I wanted crawfish but didn't want to be overwhelmed by one dish so the starters worked perfectly. I ordered the Unca Duke's BBQ shrimp and fried green tomatoes. The fried green tomatoes were crisp on the outside with added flavor from the crawfish. Bread with the shrimp was icing for an absolutely savory meal. For drinks, I had the Blackberry Bramble and sparkling water. Dessert was the brulee. From the host to Lexi to the bar and the menu, Trenasse was a highlight of my trip!
